The war has been ongoing for the third year, leading to an increasing number of military personnel and veterans in need of various types of assistance. The public organization “Pryncyp” has been supporting these groups for several years and is now expanding its activities.
The new platform allows literally everyone to obtain a profession and join volunteer activities aimed at protecting the rights and health of defenders, as well as those who have already given the most precious thing for the preservation of the state and the civilian population.
Find out more details in the following parts of the case!
The public organization “Pryncyp” is a human rights association of activists and lawyers that provides free assistance, in particular to servicemen and veterans. At present, they are scaling up the initiative and promoting an extended educational project aimed at preparing even more specialists, both in the legal and medical fields, among others.
The concept is as follows: the educational platform will help everyone interested to acquire certain professions in exchange for their free work for the benefit of society. And the BuildApps team is proud to be part of this project and is responsible for its technical implementation.
In short, we are leading this project literally from scratch. Over the past few years, we have developed and modernized the web, mobile version of the organization's website, as well as the mobile app. We are currently continuing work on the new educational platform.
The project idea is as follows:
The project is non-commercial in nature, but it can be monetized over time, especially in the post-war period, for example, for training in highly specialized skills and work methodologies. Is it difficult to develop? Well, you’ll find out soon.
Let’s get straight to the point – the project's specifics do not allow us to reveal all the details, so let’s briefly walk through the key moments.
The platform is based on Next.js and Strapi. Formally, this is a complete transformation of the previous landing page and its transformation into a full-fledged educational portal.
Challenges arose right away, as Strapi lacked the built-in functionality needed by the client. Therefore, we developed modules ourselves to manage courses, materials, and the platform overall.
During the process, we implemented:
By the way, one of the specific client requests was to build mechanisms that prevent the downloading of unique course content. This is quite a specific challenge, which we are still working on. All we can say is that currently, video content cannot be downloaded using any of the common methods. However, we need to further upgrade the system and protect it against the most specific algorithms.
The project is already in production, and the owners are actively publishing comprehensive courses.
The portal is gradually expanding and releasing more and more highly qualified specialists in several different fields of activity. We are also taking part in the modernization of the platform, periodically adding functionality and expanding the technical base. Therefore, the project is completely successful.
